Human Sciences
This degree is intended to give students an opportunity to gain a wide ranging understanding of the social behavioral sciences (sociology, psychology, anthropology, organizational leadership, criminal justice, political science, economics, education and social work). It prepares students to use their knowledge and skills in a professional and practical way that will enable them to make educated, ethical and positive contributions to their community. The program emphasizes critical thinking, writing and analytical skills, and provides excellent preparation for graduate and professional studies. A Human Sciences faculty adviser will work with the student to design the 36-hour curriculum for the degree that is comprised of social behavioral science courses (sociology, psychology, anthropology, organizational leadership, criminal justice, political science, economics, education and social work).
Human Sciences - BA
This major does not require a minor.

36 semester hours of social behavioral science (sociology, anthropology, psychology, organizational leadership, criminal justice, political science, economics, education and social welfare).
Total number of advanced hours required in major:
18 semester hours of social behavioral science..
Total number of advanced hours required in major:
- 27 hours of social behavioral in three 9 hour concentrations (3 hours of each must be advanced) of the student's choosing
- 3 hours of statistics (PSYC 3381 or SOCI 3311)
- 3 hours of research methods (SOCI 3315, SOCI 3361, or PSYC 4483)
- 3 additional hours in advanced SOCI
Concentrations available in this major (must complete 3 concentrations with 9 semester hours in each-three advanced hours in each) from:
Anthropology, criminal justice, economics, education, organizational leadership, political science, psychology, social welfare, and sociology.

Human Sciences - Bachelor of Applied Studies
Available only to transfer students. This major must have an approved technical field (18-30 semester hours) completed at a community college prior to admission to OLLU. Degree map will be available upon admission to OLLU.
